Not everyone can attend classes in person. Whether it’s your job, relationships or the demands of family life, finding the time to paint can be hard to schedule.

Enter online mentorships with the Berlin Portrait Academy. The same powerful techniques will be taught to you that we offer in-person, with projects assigned that can be taken at your own pace.

How it Works

  1. Receive assignments:

    • You will get a video with instructions and accompanying materials explaining a task, demonstrating the steps with clear, easy to follow explanations. Each assignment is split into simple stages, i.e. 1. Proportional block-out, 2. Values, 3. Rendering, 4. Final Refinement.

  2. Complete the task and submit.

    • Complete the first stage of the assignment then upload it for critique. Critique will be recorded and sent back to you within 48 hours.

  3. Implement feedback and complete next stage of the assignment.

    • Carry out any changes from the recorded feedback and do the following stage. Submit and repeat until all the stages are complete.
